Yeah it really needs to be announced that you can play the damn thing with the new beta patch. 

Having a mod that alienates a significant percentage of its possible player base just doesn't make sense.  I realize it wasn't intentional, but the situation needs to be rectified.

That's like releasing a mod for Battlefield 1942 1.4 and then having a 1.5 patch come out a couple of days later.  The logical thing to do is release a hotfix that makes the mod compatible with the latest release, even if it's in beta.

but, to make the communtiy bigger so they can interact with each other, is there any way to allow the players who have the beta patch play with the players who dont? That is, once we get a hot fix out that allows you to play on the beta.
