Actually, I went on the Ninja Server once. There was a player who told me to switch the drive controls for land vehicles to my mousewheel. If you get on the speederbike and spin your mouse wheel quickly you can take off and fly all over the map so long as you keep on moving your mouse wheel.

thats really annoying

It is, as far as I know the only way to get to the at-at's on endor.

I honestly have no problem with the flying abilities of them.  However if the capping radius at the Imp Bunker can't be adjusted you might want to consider adding some extra barriers or something on/around the rooftop.  As far as I know, that's the only exploit that can be taken advantage of by flying the speeder bike.
Lol this is messing my mind up: Since these speeder bikes hover above the ground aren't they flying even when used properly? tongue

Nope.  They don't fly, ever.  They hover.  There actually is a difference.  Flying is the process by which an object achieves sustained movement through the air by aerodynamically generating lift.  Hovering is the process by which an object is suspended against gravity, in a stable position, by a force without physical contact, in this case a repulsorlift.

OH SNAP!!

Re: Flying speeder bikes

It's interesting to know that technically they don't fly, however it sure appears that they hover awefully high, especially in Endor. Some players have figured out how to use the bikes almost like the aircraft in 2142 and can strafr ground units from high above.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me ... I've laways figured they would hover just above the ground, not hover 50 feet into the air.
