Please don't throw the work away. If possible please make your work available for download on one of the free sites, Zip/RaR the level map. I trhink we can learn from one anothers projects.

Well, having erased my old map before and starting a new one I'm not gonna tell you to not erase it. (You'd be surprised how much a second chance can change your map)

Still, I'm open to test it out and give you my impressions if you do the same for when I get mine done.

BTW go to the thread Problems=Solutions to reinstall the editor in BF2142 folder so you can get the sky maps to work. It'll make all the difference I promise!

Don’t even know how to finish it no one is going to show me how to get the teams sorted out don’t know how to light map properly and the other things. There’s no help from the moders or any kind of support. I still have the map but with out further instruction I can't do a thing.

I feel your pain. Make sure your init.con is structured the same as an existing FS map. Also, verify the files in the gamemodes folder are correct as well.

I haven't done any light mapping yet either, best bet is still BF2Editor forums.

If you set up gamemodes folder as I described in the end of TYs FS setup thread and copy your init.con from another map you should be good to go once you pack the map.  Keep in mind your init.con will be reset every time you save the map and you will have to copy the soldiers settings in again unless you make it read only.

Please don't think that the number of posts = interest, you've had over 700 views of this post - that's plenty of interest in my book smile

I hope you do continue developing this map, a Star Wars version of a classic trench warfare scenario sounds very cool, and I for one, cannot wait to play it.
