Topic: Ion Cannon: Hilarious!

So I thought I knew my FS gameplay pretty well by now.  Last night I'm flying around near the ISD in my Y-Wing on Escape from Hoth, and all of a sudden I slow down and am drifting with no controls.

"Oh shitttt!"

A TIE Bomber and TIE Fighter slowed behind me and blasted me into oblivion.  It's moments like this that make FS awesome big_smile

Yes it does. Press the F key to switch from bombs to ion-cannons, and then right-click to fire.

Hmm, I'm actually not sure about that... but since fighters and star-destroyers are susceptible, I would think so are capital ships.

Yeah, the ion cannon will go so far as to disable the maneuvering and engines of any cap ship - be it transport, corvette, or whatever.
