Of course it needs to be 'done' before it's released. I'm not saying that they should just puke out unfinished new content. I'm saying that if they could get something out -before- the rush of new games  this season it would be best. If they -can't- get it done, that's one thing, but suggesting holding on to finished content until a specific holiday seems like poor strategy. "When it's done" is always the time to release.
