Yes. Let's get back on topic, people.

• The mod would greatly benefit from every weapon and tool in the weapon selection bar having a name shown, like in Project Reality The same goes for the various weapons of vehicles, cap ships, and fighters.
• While there is deployable stuff for ground maps, I miss them in space maps. I made a post long ago asking for things like deploying mine fields, dropping off containers which would repair/rearm ships near them, satellites scanning their surroundings, weapon platforms shooting at things near them, etc. Would give capital ship crews more to do, so it'd be nice if we could have an update on this.

i most agree with these two

Deployable stuff would be great from capital ships. dunno if its lore accurate but it would make capital ships far more interesting. Also this mod has a steep learning curve for the weapons and tools. Giving names and describing what they do would help a lot.

Re: My little list of pros and cons

I'm drawing from the X-Wing series when it comes to 'space deployables'. Those games had container yards, free-floating weapon platforms, and so on, and they did add a lot to immersion.

Re: My little list of pros and cons

I don't know if this is possible with the battlefield 2142 engine. If you could jump out of a X-Wing, you 'll fall 5 mins. I think it's the same with the deployable things in space. The gravitation isn't switched off.

Re: My little list of pros and cons

Deployables would work like cap ships and fighters, equipped with floaters that held them up. No problem there. And there's already two container models in the game - the one carried by the Imperial freighter and the ones blue-ish ones in the Tatooine maps (there's a whole bunch of them just north of the Slave Quarters).

I don't mean deployed by the Commander to fall from the skies, but deployed by space ships for then to hang still.

wish there was something for crews on cap ships besides look around, you hardly even get to see anyone else in space battle, as pple, not ships. be nice to get some person interaction, mabybe for the rebels you could have a capital ship as there main base, like i dunno a corrillion (only name i could think of) something besides a small convoy that would get fryed against a star destroyer

feel free to add me ingame, now pretty much solely EvilMr.GubGub, unless vanilla 2142 then still Spartankiller2
