once again have you tried changing the compatability?
if so and it still doesn't work put up your specs

hmm.. i have service pack 2 and i'm running on windows media edition and i have no problems.. maybe theres a difference in the two?

Do you have 2142 running on a compatability mode?

nope, I don't have it running on any compatibility mode. I've never had any issues like that.. maybe his disk is scratched.. you could check and see if there is any scratches on it

Alright, maybe you could give us a little more info...

- Could you please list your system specs?
- Do you have a special sound card?
- Is your CD drive not the usual Drive D:?
- What's the exact error message you get?
- And like the others suggested, have you tried running in a different compatibility mode?
