Topic: First Strike Update 02/07/2006

Before displaying the renders, I'd like to say that in these past few weeks we've made a lot of progress. Besides the work that has been done on modelling and texturing, we have also seen the creation of new sound effects, as well as brand new music. There's also been a lot of work put into correcting some of the things on the X-Wing, many of which  you guys have commented on. The next few weeks will hold some exciting progress for our mod, some of which will be previewed in updates in the near future. But enough about the past or the future, let's focus on the present, the update. Without further ado...

The first render for this update is the Shield Generator, which will be found on the Hoth map. The model was created by Ahhsai and textured by Ramseus.

This second render is of a weapon made famous in the Jedi Knight series: the Imperial Heavy Repeater Rifle. It was modelled by billtcm and textured by Rybot, and will be used by the AT-ST Pilot.

Our third render is, once again, originally from the Jedi Knight series. The laser trip mine, modelled and textured by Blitz, will be used by the Imperial Scout and the Rebel Sharpshooter.

The fourth and final render for this week is none other than the melee weapon for the Imperials, the stun baton. This weapon was also used in the Jedi Knight series. Modelling was done by TK-509, while texturing was done by Rybot. This weapon will be used by all Imperial Soldiers.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the T1-B Hover Tank, Imperial Star Destroyer and the Lambda Shutte from Ahhsai, Aquila and HarryB respectively!.

As mentioned, the coming weeks will bring some interesting developments, and it's our goal to keep you updated on our progress.

Re: First Strike Update 02/07/2006

The only thing I can say from this update, is niceeee..... cool

Especially the Lambda Shuttle, I mean, that's sooo nice done.
However in my opinion, I think you could add some snow or old rusted metal on the Hoth Shield Generator, just a suggestion.

Good job smile

Re: First Strike Update 02/07/2006

As xerohour stated on the TBF2 forums, the Imperial Insignia was just placed on the render for a bit of fun, and won't be there on the final version. Oh, and if you look at the reference for the hovertank, this model is almost an exact replica of the one in the movie. I was quite amazed when ahhsai first presented this in our WIP section.
