Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

Huh? Well again, this is probably low on the developer's list right now. They have many other things to work on. Just play POE on BF: V sometime, who ever has it, and you'll see.

Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

I've played POE, and the cockpit effects in the RAH-66 are really cool.  If it is possible in the BF:V engine, I'm sure it is probably possible in the BF:2 engine.  That is, provided that Dice didn't remove the part of the code that allowed the POE devs to put that into BF:V.  I'll go over to the POE forums and ask if they're doing it in POE 2.  Maybe they'll be willing to share some of their secrets with FS.

Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

OK, I hope this is all possible, it would add extra realism to the mod, cause just pictures of a cockpit is not really my cup of tea, in BF2 they use those stupid pictures again in the cockpits roll

Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

An extensive interactive cockpit won't do anything as far as adding unnecessary lag will it?

Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

Why would it cause lag, u just read the stuff inside the vehicle, other than everywhere on ur screen smile

Re: Interactive Cockpit HUDs.

I don't think it needs to be overly extensive.  Maybe a few blinking lights and dials that change and a little screen that has cool moving stuff on it.  I don't think that would cause much in the way of lag.  As long as the animations are short and repeated it wouldn't take much processesing power at all.
