ahhh come on its terrible. the whole round my side didnt have one air vehicle because any time one spawned it took so long to take off it just got destroyed by a jet flying past. And dont even think about using the anti aircraft guns.
maybe because there were so many retards playing as they shot people because they wanted the plane or something instead.
2142 is so much more balanced

I love the choppers and the bomber planes (laser guided missiles ftw) in BF2. I agree that 2142 is deffinately more balanced with generally better maps, but that does not make BF2 horrible in our opinions ^_^

Maybe its because we played that before we were spoiled with 2142?

(Jets really don't have a place in these games anymore... too fast... too powerful... litterally pwng on wings. So I'm glad for the Gunships which made the game alot more balanced.)

i only played it for about 2 hours but i didnt have one moment of fun. maybe the full game is better. I just dont know how any1 can say 2142 is not as good.

oh i normally look for the best in games and i never say something i don't mean. this truly was the worst game i have played. again just my opinion.

BF2 is probably my most played game for PC after Total anihilation, AoE:II and BF Vietnam. Vietnam imo is still the best bf game (I was never a fan of single player 1942 and couldn play it online). 2142 just never appealed to me the setting, the weak attempted at making futuristic vehicles/weapons, the classes, the nessiscity of playing to have a decent selection of weapons, everything about the game. The only reason I got 2142 was because EA gave it too me for free.

I wouldn't go back to bf2 now though. My batlefield days are over as far as i am concerned, I have no intention on playing any BF games again, to be blunt unless EA gives them to me for free.

Its really funny that alot of people don't like BF 2142 and they are the modders here ^_^
