Little behind the times, are we? We've had one community game already smile . It was swell, at its peak there were about 30 people on the 32 people server. But perhaps you know that and are referring to something else, what do I know.

Did not know that. Over at filefront forums (at which I believe many of the members here have memberships), I'm experienced and up on stuff like this. Over here, I'm still going through membership birthing pains (ie, noobieness)

Glad to see you here Emperor Norton I , I hope you enjoyed playing it smile

Re: 20 people online!

Well, I can't lie to you, I actually haven't even gotten 2142. The reason I joined up is because I had played the demo for 2142, heard about your mod and heard alot of praise for it and I liked what I saw of your work (I've watched this forum for a long while before I joined). Plus, I have bf2 so I know the basic layout enough to move that thought process to 2142. I'm just here to help in whatever way I can until I buy or get 2142 around the holiday season.

Re: 20 people online!

Nice thread, and awesome Pics Safe-Keeper and Talon.  I'm sure as people realize that first strike is 1.4 compatible, they'll be coming back or giving it another try.  Especially if we get more posts like these.   My biggest problem is deciding which button on my joystick to sacrifice for screenshots. tongue

More heartening that having the player base return is the fact that there are now more European/world servers with players during the daytime.

Re: 20 people online!

In addition, it means we'll eventually have more than one decently populated server, which means that people who hate space maps can just join another server instead of starting a map vote every five seconds. hamsters, how it gets on my nerves when idiots spam 'VOTE YES THIS MAP SUX!!!111' and 'this map is soooooooooooo boring' every five seconds until the round ends. Not to mention the unevolved primates who do things like deliberately flying cap ships off the map or whatever to get the map to end. Show some courtesy, people. I don't particularly like Mos Entha, for example, but do I spend the whole round trying to ruin it for everyone else for that reason? roll [/rant ends]
