Oh, and when you make BattleRecorder footage, it's safe to keep graphics to a bare minimum to avoid lag and make it easier to record. Not that lag is transfered into the footage (that I know of). This is because the graphics in the BattleRecorder footage are unaffected by the graphics you had on when you recorded. In short, you can record a battle with graphics set to Low and then watch the recording with graphics set to High smile .

That's the beauty of BR - it's not recorded footage as such but more of a script, like Recorded Games in RTS games. Unlike FRAPS, which records what's on the screen and turns it into a video file.

It'd be cool if we could get a group of people willing to act out scenes and someone (or a bunch) to record the videos... I'm seeing a 300 inspired video

Just a little action/humor clip to YouTube. Contains two nice little sequences from a great game I had with JaFaR today. It's a hurriedly filmed and edited deal, not a serious project, so it looks a bit amateurish in places, but I actually found it pretty good anyway. It even contains a little note about how the mod is compatible with 1.40 wink !

how to make a Battlerecorder in game: (traduction of this page)

Stage 0. To create a file named "demos" at this address: C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/mod/bf2142/demos/

Stage 1. Launch Battlefield 2 or 2142 (Personally I do not know if it goes on the 2)

Stage 2. Go in Multiplayer, then network, and click on the mitre "To create"

Stage 3. Choose the map and modified the configuration as you want it.

Stage 4. Launch the part

Stage 5. Once that you are close recording, type ° (below key ESC).

Stage 6. Type in the console: "demo.recorddemo thenamewhichyouwantforyourvideo

Stage 7. Made what you want.

Stage 8. Once that it is finished, type: "demo.stoprecording" or "demo.stoprecord"

Stage 9. It is good, it is finished. You find the file bf2142demo (Battlerecorder File) in C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/mod/bf2142/demos/

Note that the bond right with the top is that by defect.

you can also use Hamachi to create your own server and make a battlerecorder movie...

hi looks like i got deleted lol i had a post about servers with battle recorder running i went onto dsgaming.net server but when i try to download the br file i get an error Text_FilenotFound! i did try to reg on dsgaming.net to ask them but i could not reg on the forum!bummer! if anybody knows a memeber of dsgaming.net could u please pass this info onto them or  give me an idea if the error is my end! many thnx again
