I have faint memories of the freak snow storm that hit SA back in 1985.  It really shut the city down.  And the fact we didn't have the proper equipment for clearing the streets etc. made it worse.  I hate the mix of heat and humidity as well but beautiful fall and winter helps make up for it.  IMHO though, the coastline is a very uncomfortable place to be.  Aside from that and this pos TxDot trying to triple tax us with some toll roads they plan to build it really is a great place to live.

Id hate to live anywhere besides Ireland. Weve got great scenery, cities are just the right size, our economy is doing very well, guns are illegal and everything you need is within walking distances.

u must live in some part of TX i'm not firmiliar with. A great thing about TX is that is has all ypes of regions : montainus, beaches, woodland, urban, and plains. i do agree with you that we get no snow that does suck
