Topic: 2142 issue

Hey all,

Recently, when I wanted to install the 1.4 patch I got an error. Then I tried to uninstall BF2142 but I got an error again.

What I did now was a format on my harddisk.

Today I wanted to install BF2142, I got to select language... then install and then I get the following message: "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate"

Any idea what this could be?

never heard of it before. have you tried reinstalling windows installer?
also maked sure you deleted every last bit of 2142?

By the way, I get the same problem when I want to install BF2, even tough that never been on this pc...

windows installer is the installer which all programs use.
