Topic: Single Player

Good day,
First , i'm new here , i've been looking at the FS mod since yesterday and i alredy
cannot wait for it's release big_smile

Now on topic ,
Most of the time i have alot of problems with playing bf2142 online , so i play single player
(like 70-90 difficulty all the time) So i tried to search over the forums if there will be
single player but i haven't found it yet , so...

Could someone please tell me if there will be a singleplayer mode in this mod (and the demo) ?
And if not , could the dev's add it please ?
I know it's taking time and all, i can wait,
still i hope there will be a single player mode smile

The first release will be multiplayer, but yes I am working on single player for First Strike.  I have been working with team and figured out workarounds for several problems that were causing conflicts with single player-- at least with handweapon and vehicle use.   I am looking at a single player mini-mod to support First Stike.  I will start out with converting the BF2142 maps to First Srike using the community AI expansion mod.  It will take more time to convert the First Strike maps and hopefully I can get some community help on creating the Navmesh files to add bots to those as well, since navmeshing maps is a very time consuming process.   Eventually the AI should be integrated back  into the main mod once we have map AI done.

I downloaded your Mini - Mod for SP but I don't know which folder to put it in?

Probably goes in the same folder as the First Strike mod. In my example D:\Battlefield 2142\mods. So it's [your BF2142 folder]\mods.

If the SP minimod is called FirstStrikeSP, for example (I don't know, never tried it), it should look like [your BF2142 folder]\mods\FirstStrikeSP.

Unless it's meant to be copied into First Strike, overwriting the 'vanilla' mod files, but I somehow doubt it.

It has an installer, just run the installer, if it asked for a directory put it into the bf2142/mods  folder... parallel with the FirstStrike folder.
