Re: FIRST STRIKE WIKI

Oh, and I disagree on having the picture backgrounds that close of a color to the template background blue. I'll look into it and see what I can do.

Re: FIRST STRIKE WIKI

great article sk, very in-depth and detailed! great tips for new pilots eager to get some kills big_smile

Thanks a lot! Though you may notice from one of the hints that I don't spend much time in the B-Wing, her awesomeness notwithstanding tongue .

OK. Well, it's the same to me what colour they are, as long as it's not white or anything else that stands out so badly against the dark blue smile .

And I was wondering, could it be possible to have the guides, perhaps with shortened names or something, listed individually on the main page like the weapons, maps, etc? Or would it take too much space?

Re: FIRST STRIKE WIKI

Currently reading this. I've been wanting to write an article on infantry tactics (mostly street combat tactics), and I'll se what I can use from the site. It's very, very, very interesting so far, and I'll definitely be able to translate much of this into FS-ish and put it to good use in Wiki articles.

Edit: This I like. Mappers should read this.

Oh, and since this is a Wiki, I find it totally OK that people edit my guides just like any other page on there. I don't know about others' guides, though, a lot of people feel very protective about guides they write.

Re: FIRST STRIKE WIKI

To notify you of an update, as well as bump this...

I updated the front page...Their is now a NEWS section. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to show snippets of the articles, just the titles. So it looks a little, 'bleh', but its better then nothin.

Re: FIRST STRIKE WIKI

Can I make a request? I noticed that the Vehicle Infobox template has four empty slots. Could one of these be made into a 'Deployed At' box that let me tell users which maps each vehicle can be found at?

Oh, and I think all vehicles' names should be written out in full ('All-Terrain Scout Transport' instead of 'AT-ST', for example), including model names (Rebel fighters already have this, with the exception of the B-Wing, which maybe doesn't have a model name). Preferably, I'd love for them to have their makers' names as part of their titles, too ('Dodonna/Blissex RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor' instead of just 'RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor'), but I fear this might make some craft names too long.

Edit: Jafar, I'm in the progress of using FRAPS to film that BR recording of our bracket runs. When I finally get it done, I'll upload it to the Dogfighting Tactics article.
