Topic: Old Star Wars Games

I got inspired to make this thread from another thread about Force Commander in the Off-Topic section.

First Star Wars game (and first game, actually) that I played was Dark Forces.  That was a great game for its day even if I didn't care about much of what it was about seeing as I was fairly young, lol.  I remember the cheesy MIDI music.

Supremacy/Rebellion - another great game.  I sucked at it though because again I was young at the time and really didn't have a clue, but played it a few times later on and its really good.

Rogue Squadron!  You can tell this one is old because it was actually called Rogue Squadron 3D.  ZOMG! 3D GRAPHICS!11!!1ONE  Another great game.

And of course, the X-Wing series.  I had TIE Fighter - brilliant game.  Well, my brother had it.  I remember watching him playing and getting all excited cause he destroyed a X-Wing labelled 'Red 5' - I thought he'd killed Luke.  Hehe.  X-Wing: Alliance was an incredible game, I wish LA would release another game for this series.  It can't stop with XWA - think of how amazing one of those games would be with today's graphics big_smile

Jedi Power Battles on the original Playstation!  Classic.  Extremely cheesy name though.  Oh and Demolition.  Hehe that was a pretty fun game, had an original concept.  The single player sucked but it was good fun to play with your mates.

Re: Old Star Wars Games

My first Star Wars Game i can remember was X-Wing... Wich we had on a Stationary Macintosh G3... runnning Mac OS 9... And also some kind of Arcade Star Wars Game (wich must have been reaaally old), that took place during the attack on the Death Star... With TIE-Fighters shooting fireballs...

Then in -03 we got a PC, and i bought SW Galactic Battlegrounds (wich is one of the worst SW games i've ever played), and Jedi Knight II...

Re: Old Star Wars Games

Shadows of the empire, rouge squadron, that podracing game all on the n64. On pc it was galactic battlegrounds. Had good fun with each of em.

Re: Old Star Wars Games

My very first computer game that I bought, when I was 8 years old, was x-wing, then I got tie fighter.  It ran on a Packard Bell 133 mhz(which I still curse to this day).  For n64 I had Rogue Squadron, Shadows of the empire, and Podracer.  Then I got Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, which I played the hell out of for over 5 years.  Ive also played or had almost every other star wars game for PC or any nintendo console and Xbox.

Re: Old Star Wars Games

First Star Wars game was X-Wing Alliance on the PC, had Rogue Sqn on the ninty64. Love the X-Wing series of games though, nothing beats them for a bit of Star Wars based space shooting.

Bite my shiny metal Tie Fighter!
