Well, if they don't run around with knives trying to get the award, they definitely will never get it, so they'll be sure to do their utmost to try.

Exactly. The knife is good as a last resort weapon, not as good as a main weapon.

OK, one more time: I'm complaining about the fact that they will run around with knives getting themselves killed. Not that they'll not get the award. Some of them will, of course.

Thank you. That's what I've been saying all along, that the award will make people run around and get themselves killed en masse. Same reason we're leaving out dog tags. Yes, the knife is good in some very few situations, but the award is just going to get people to run around trying to use it as their main weapon.

Some of you just don't get the concept and overall reason that we HAVE a knife. If you run out of ammo, use it. If you want to kill someone without being noticed, use it. If you're right next to someone, use it. (you know...to conserve ammo.) If you took the knife out, you would most likely get even more complaints; not just from noobs. I'm not saying put in dogtags...im just saying leave it be. An award is just an award. It's exactly the same as any other award. For example...there is a demolitions award. Shouldn't you both be making a topic saying, "Take out the demolitions award or all the noobs will run around spamming explosives and trying to use grenades over guns as their main weapons!"? It's pretty much the exact same thing.
