well, posting on a star wars mod forum will only give you a biased response

Lol I dunno about you guys but the people in all my classes are cool with StarWars lol... It really just depends who you are when you say Star Wars, if you are lame people will look at you funny, if you aren't lame, people will be cool with it lol... Just don't freak out about it. Most people in the US have seen Star Wars and know more about it than they are willing to show... That's how I see it, it's jsut an epic movie to me and the people I hang out with. Don't know about you.

Right , typically just like the ones who coined the term "nerd" in the 1st place many years ago ...
They are thick-skulled, thin-skinned , insecure sociopaths who truly dont understand that theres more to the universe than what they can see.  To us , its hard to imagine those people exist at all, but its true.
The average house pet ( dog , cat , canary ) has more understanding of the cosmos than those people.
For the most part, anyone whos cool with star wars is of higher intelligence and understanding , less political , and more accepting of the fact that humans only know a tiny wee bit of our planet we live on ... much less about things outside the world they live in.
