Topic: Ranked Server already??

Just checked the server list and there was one labelled *GS* Ranked - First Strike. Have I missed the update, or is it being issued to server admins early in preparation?? I tried joining it and it said my version was not the same...

Anyone shed any light on the matter? I know there was a post saying they hoped to have it out this week, been checking every day but nothing else heard yet.

It woudn't surprise me that if the mod is done and ready for release they would start passing it out to a select few server hosts prior to launch so that people can enjoy the mod right away....though It could be just a final testing stage to make sure the server code is solid for public use...

You do know FS is already out right?
And somebody probably just glitched the system, it's illegal to have a ranked mod.
FS will be ranked but the ranking system won't be in-game, just on a website.

....was referring to 1.2 which to some has the finished intended launch features which would be closest to having a completed mod...but its just wordplay really...

I had a dream last night and i had the 1.2 mod and no one else had it.
I felt like a kid with the new toy on the block.
I told a bunch of people online that I had it , and I was about to play it ...
And when i sat down to start playing , I saw mario bros. on the screen with all these donkey kong sounds whenever i tried to fire. About the time I was thinking " hey this dont seem right ! " I started waking up .  For the next hour i tried to go back to sleep and re-enter that dream so I could play 1.2 ...
