Re: Old Star Wars Games

First: Rogue Squadron 3D.
After that i played JK2 for a long time, then went out and got rogue squadron 2 then kept going on getting games from there like Rogue Squadron 3 and jedi academy. Then i went back and played Dark forces and Dark Forces 2 that i just happened to have. All good games. (although i preferred JK2 to JK3 but w/e i had JK2 on the computer and JK3 on Xbox. I find lightsaber combat quite stupid with a trigger button...)

Now a lightsaber battle on a Wii ,  that could be funny .

Re: Old Star Wars Games

Uh...actually...

Have you heard about the force unleashed? (if you haven't, ill probably kill you. it's awesome.)
It is a game coming out later this year for tons of systems, the main ones being XBOX360 and PS3. There is going to be cool technology that simulates behavior and environmental reaction...in english, the enemies act like they really would, and the environment works like it would in real life. Anyways...there are going to be versions on other systems like PS2 and Wii that dont have that technology, but on the Wii, there is going to be a 1on1 mode where you can swing your saber with the wiimote. It isn't exact, but it works. (i read all of this in my magazines lol)

Re: Old Star Wars Games

I started with Dark Forces.  Love that game so much!!  I've even played it a few times on my current system with the DosBox program.  When DF2-Jedi Knight came out with the live/digitized actors I was glued to the game.  I still play that one occaisionally.  I was very impressed with the storyline and the maps.  (level 15 Falling Ship wooooot!!)  I was a bit disappointed with the x-pack Mysteries of the Sith.  Still it was enjoyable.  Next was Jedi Outcast then Jedi Academy.  I still remember rolling on the floor laughing my butt off from the effects of a max level Force Pull used when leaping over a group of Stormtroopers. big_smile

Anyone else find the 2 hidden ewoks in Dark Forces? wink

LOL...i play that a lot. Since i've beaten it, then i go into a single player map, use cheats to jump onto a multi-player map in single-player mode, then use all sorts of cool cheats. (spawning enemies, special powers, mind control, etc.) and it is awesome.

Re: Old Star Wars Games

Oldest Star Wars game I played? Well it's gotta be X-Wing, absolutely stunning game back in the day. And then I had a MacMaim ROM emulator so I could play the old Star Wars arcade games (I love how even now in some old arcades or bars you can still find an old sit down cabinet version of that game, proper nostalgia) on the Macs I was working on back in College. And then I got my hands on stuff like Rebel Assault 1 & 2, and then obviously the next big one was the original Dark Forces and then it's sequels, cracking game that.

Ahh, back in the days when they made Star Wars games right.

Re: Old Star Wars Games

I think the first Star Wars game I played was GC lol

I was like 10-11? My parents had barely started letting me play shooting/killing games on PC with my dad and cousin.
