perhaps, but then if people read the stickys etc they wouldn't have to keep repeating the same requests. It would be extremely rare to find someone posting a question about something only they have experienced.

As an exercise, I did some searches around the forums looking for answers to the most common problems, and for the most part, when I'm looking for an answer, I look for evidence that the problem has been resolved in the thread.  It was quite hard to find, as some people did not post back when their problem was fixed.

I'd suggest going to the FS Wiki to get help with problems.  In it, there is a Troubleshooting section:

It is up to date and is quite detailed, listing the most common error messages/problems and their solutions.

The manual, while excellent and detailed, lags a little behind the Wiki for now, but it will hopefully be updated by the time of the new release.
