Topic: Exiting Capital Ships
OK...as most of us know, there probably will not be ship interiors, but statics such as large ships/stations. I find this perfectly alright, except for one nagging question. How will we get out of capital ships to get onto these new structures? Sure, with fighters you simply fly down, land, get out, but for capital ships, there has to be something like, a boarding tube that you will spawn in, or escape pods, or some special way to get out of it, and on to the static. Post your suggestions for this here, because i sure don't want to be locked inside a capital ship when we get statics in.

Re: Exiting Capital Ships
Im talking about for troops, and for ships without hangars. (corvette, lancer, etc.)

Re: Exiting Capital Ships
Have boarding tubes, this will also help create ares where you have to rush to defend to stop too many coming through. As long as you have say two tubes and spawn points are far enough away to ensure not everyone can create a bottleneck, then this would work well.

Re: Exiting Capital Ships
You won't be exiting or boarding moving capital ships, you'll be using special statics like the ISD in Escape From Hoth. So you'll probably be using docking platforms, hangars, or whatever.

Re: Exiting Capital Ships
I would say something like this... Destroy something on the outside of the ship, float little shuttles and such into hanger, capture ship... The smaller ships will not be board able because they are too small and they move, and its just too much work to make them work right... which they still probably wouldn't work right. .

Re: Exiting Capital Ships
*groan* Does nobody listen? I never said boarding in here. I said nothing about interiors. I just said, "How will we be able to exit and enter capital ships?" Like, start at a shipyard, walk over to a capital ship and get in, then hover over something, have a boarding tube come out, you exit the ship, instantly spawn in the boarding tube and walk out or something. My main point isn't, "How can we walk around inside?" My point is, "How will we get out once we are in?" For all i care, it could be an escape pod every time you get out. I just dont want to be stuck inside a capital ship once i spawn in it. -_-'
