Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

Suggestion: Record each Friday's night battle and post it on youtube.
Attract more ppl to it?

I don't know how to express it better, but the last evening just has been a blast! So, i am looking forward to our next friday-event (29.02) and, furthermore to have some serious Death-Star Battles included soon

We also had some of the devs and fs-testers with us...(i even managed to knife woodrow on mos espa) ^^ Hope you will join us again next friday!

If there are any critics, suggestions ... please feel free to place them here (or contact me per email)

Fyi: The gameserver (32) had more than 20-22 players online at any time, starting from 20:00 CET. Around 21:30-23:00 only 1 slot was left.

Aye, those were some great games yesterday! Lots of teamwork, and enough people to make for some really intense ground and space battles.

Hopefully soon we can get enough people to fill up a 32 person game and start using the bigger versions of the maps!

Aye, we had some good fun yesterday. Imperator, you did a hell of a job in our squad m8. Looking forward to next week.

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

Is there any way you folks can change game night to Saturdays at 7GMT?  The current time does not allow Americans to play, because we're all at work or school (Friday from 11AM - 2PM in USA).

If you did these game nights on Saturday or Sunday night at 7GMT the American crowd would have a chance to show up.  Maybe there aren't enough of us to make a difference, I can only speak for myself, obviously.  Even think about alternating them.  Fri one week, Sat the next, Sun the next, etc.

Thanks for at least considering.  Don't make me move to the UK.

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

Let's see...  7pm GMT would mean 2pm EST...  I'm in school until 2:15, and then there is also after school which I usually stay after for;  right now is in between track seasons, so no sports...  I suppose I can make it to the gaming nights a little late.  I missed most of the last one because I was donating blood.  Oh hey, I'm 5th on the server...

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

The games go on for some time, so you can always join a little late. I left the game at about 5pm EST with a full server.

This would mean a lot of hours to cap and process...i don't think, this could work. But i am trying to get some good fighting scenes every time (i have some new ones right here, taken from the last event) and enlarge the FS Gaming Evening Trailer instead. I was missing some good scenes from entha and talooran - i think, i got them now wink If i manage to get through them (thank hamsters, i bought a hdd with enough space, because i randomly hit the record tab very often if i heard a lot of shooting  ^^), i ll update the trailer.

Maybe, if 1.2 ist out, i ll do a completely new one. (Death Star trench runs should offer some nice shots^^)

Concerning the time schedule: As the server is located in germany, a lot of americans could experience lags and high ping kicks (i am afraid, i noticed some of these the last evening), but we could  try an additional FS Game Event on Saturday with a better EST/PST time schedule. As i said: I think this could be a question of performanc more than of the right time we set up the evening.

Either way: The next event will be on 29... hope you will join us again!
