Topic: Crashing = No Fun :(

Well, Your probably sick of Newbies spamming up your forums with problems of crashing and no servers, But im kinda stuck.

I installed BF2142 a while ago ( Personaly not a big fan of EA, Since i belive all the products are cursed since normaly after using them for 1-2 days they break) Had quite a few problems with BF2142 In the past so ive reinstalled a few times now.

I have all the current BF2142 Patches installed, I then went to install FS but i got :
"Some Thing Some thing Patch Requires 1.25 to run properly" (Or some thing along those lines, I normaly just click stuff repeatedly to skip my way through the installatio)

I thought this was a little odd since ive got all the updates, So i chose to ignore that little message and continued the installation. After it was complete i logged in and all, Went on to to the server expecting to at least see a few up... But there was none. So thought id do a little single player. Map Loaded up fine, Clicked "Deploy".. Which then made the client crash to desktop. Every time i click "Deploy" it causes me to crash to desktop.

Just wondering if any one knows how to fix this little problem?

OK welcome to FS m8. I'm a newbie too smile firstly there is no single player unless you download the sp mini mod so every time you select single player you will ctd. As for the servers go to advanced and make sure the only box selected is "same mod only" all others are unchecked. then press update and your away. Confused me first time i tried to join too

You can find the SP minimod for download on these forums... It has a sticky somewhere XD

And you can get some custom maps for SP in the custom mapping section.

Ah right thanks,

I re-installed FS, Seems to work alright now.
