Re: Community game today!

Sweet community game. Glad I showed up.. First time ive really seen teamwork on the space maps and such a large number of players. On Taloraan it was a pretty epic battle.. On the first round I got some good kills with my X-Wing and our capital ships were all sticking together leading to our victory.. Then on the second the rebels werent really advancing so we decided to attack first, leading to our demise since for starters, our Bulk Freighter got destroyed first and the Rebels fighter spawn was so close they could really take advantage of it.

The on Endor Strike Team I snuck behind trying to cap the Ewok Tree House first, but my attempt was a epic fail due to : I fell of the bridge. So then we rushed to the Imperial Outpost, uncapping it quick, but we couldnt capture for a bit since TY's squad had a beacon on the roof I think.. And Safe had a Eweb set up in the main complex and another was on the roof. After that the match ended quickly. Then on our turn we basicly got rushed out of the first base. Then lost control at the Ewok Tree House after they flanked us (Well I think they flanked us) and then we lost the rest of the map reletively quick.

I noticed alot of people getting kicked for high ping though.

Oh, and Ty: Increase your mic volume wink .

Our 'camping victory' in Taloraan (since we were waiting for our frigate to be manned and it never was) leads me wonder if there should be some sort of way to keep people from just forming up in the staging grounds and staying there, as doing so really gives you a huge advantage.

Re: Community game today!

Ya it does. Since your spawn for fighters is just a couple seconds away. You could ger reinforcements instantly, while we had to wait. Either way a good battle.. Too bad I didnt stay long enough or arrive early enough to take place in Mos Entha and Tatooine Mos Espa. But I think just waiting at the staging grounds should stay the same, its a valid tactic and I know next time I play ill tell my team how affective it is.

Re: Community game today!

The sniper rifles in this game are amazing big_smile

Had some quality rounds on the ground picking random people off, though being able to tell a difference in grunts and offciers made it not completely random wink

Also had some pretty epic dogfights on Taloraan. But then we had the battle going in our staging point and that kinda killed the dogfights sad

Really good games all big_smile

lol hai?

so i herd u liek mudkipz?

Since these are on low quality and relevant to the CG, I'm posting them here.

     1st Taloraan Round
Imperial fleet (sans one Lancer) forms up as Rebel X-Wings, A-Wings and B-Wings launch a large-scale strike

As the fighters thin out, the fleet forms up and prepares to engage the Rebel fleet

The Imperial Fleet begins its attack run

With the freighter lost and the Carrack exposed to concentrated fire, the battle looks grim...

     2nd Taloraan Round
Rebel corvette and freighter forms up with the fleet. I love scenes like this one

Er, no Ty, I don't think so tongue

Corvettes are in perfect formation. Freighter still maneuvering.

The Task Force is formed up and awaits the arrival of the Nebulon-B as Safekeeper directs the Alliance starfighters to take on an Imperial straggler.

Fighters respond, shifting their attention 'eastwards'
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r292/safe-keeper/2ndGame6.png

Ah, OK, so they were headed 'eastwards' anyhow hmm . I just liked the sound of that tongue .

The Imperial fleet, bored by our idling, decides to take the initiative. They lose their repair ship first, then their whole fleet follows as the combined fire of our corvettes and starfighters tear them to shreds. Having broken the Imperial attack, the victorious Rebel Fleet charges the remaining Imperial ship to make retreat impossible. The Imperial Commanders rain abuse on their crews for costing the Empire this important battle cool *.

*Er, seriously, people, can we lighten up a tad bit when it comes to Taloraan? There's no need to flame everyone who does something wrong, even if it costs you a victory. Geez, you were noobs once, too.
