Re: Love/hate?
Things I Love
1) Advanced Teamplay, an element so important to First Strike and very successfully implemented, teamwork is so important to success, and yet isn't forced on a player but comes naturally through repairing, re-arming, reviving (the various kits that come together to make the E-Web/Mk.II so formidable is a great example of this. Gun/Ammo Box/Shield) and generally sticking together rather than lone wolfing.
2) Space maps, something quite unique to First Strike are it's space maps, and though not everyone loves 'em, they are an integral part of the mod, as much as space battles are a part of the Star Wars universe. The freedom to fly capital ships and fighters how you see fit is great and we can only build on this to make it more user friendly to those who do not like to fly so much such as implementing more AA style player manned turrets like on the Death Star surface in Battle of Yavin. Boarding maps are a must too, as a mix of infantry and space combat should more than keep everyone happy. The possibilities are endless, so watch this space.

3) The Community, as has been said by others there is a very friendly and loyal community that have stuck with First Strike and provide challenging opponents for players as well as a welcoming helping hand to any and all new comers. We salute you sirs.
4) Attention to detail, one of the things that drew me to this mod in the first place was the level of dedication and attention to detail, finding weapons that could only be located by freeze framing a shot of the movie and then detailing a style and functionality, even a back-story to these weapons and assets to breathe life into them for the player who eventually gets to wield them. So I thought I'd help out.
The vehicles and characters, environments and artwork in general are of a fantastically high standard of polish that stands toe to toe with official Star Wars games, with lore accuracy that often surpasses them.
5) It's frickking Star Wars!!! And I'm a Star Wars nut so I'm stuck with First Strike as it by far one of the best interactive recreations of that galaxy far far away...
Things I Hate
1) Certain weapons and assets have been need of serious tweaking for a while now, (yes I'm looking at you Torpedo Launcher) these include accuracy tweaks for some weapons, a little nerfage to others (yes, that will be the PMG I'm talking about) (but leave my Prox Mines alone Fool!!!)
And yes, the DL44 needs its range shortened some, but not too much nerfing, after all Han Solo went toe to toe against Stormtroopers and the like only packing this weapon, so yes it is a pistol, but not in the sense of most FPSs, it is not a last ditch weapon like the knife, but a powerful piece of kit in its own right. So lessen the range, yes, but not the power or the accuracy.
2) Walker Bailers, a love/hate relationship in its own right, as in love it when an enemy fool does it, hate it when a team mate makes this silly school boy error. Unless you have someone else in there with you, do NOT get out of the Walker. Nuff said.
3) Low player count, after all this time we still are struggling to find the numbers of players to keep the mod afloat which is quite annoying despite quite a few very favourable reviews we still don't seem to be getting the recognition I think we deserve which should bring more people into the fold.
4) Stability/compatibility issues, it is one of the most difficult issues any mod, (heck any PC based game full stop) has to deal with. With all the various operating systems and graphics cards etc to work to it makes it very tricky indeed to maintain compatibility with all these factors, and it is largely due to these issues and difficulty in getting the game set up initially which will most likely have cost us the most potential new players. Hopefully once the new launcher system settles in and everyone gets used to it, this will help to alleviate this problem.
5) That bleedin' second anti-infantry cannon on the APC Freerunner!! The what you ask? The forward arc firing one that has been missing since its first release, which forces people to ridiculously have to drive it backward to use the things only weapon. If this doesn't get fixed soon I may just have to go postal on everyone here with a Death Star Superlaser or something.
