Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

Yes, of course you can, but you're not meant to.

Frecking nitpicker.

Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

I have done the same.....tank v tank, Y-Wing v tank, Y-Wing v ATST etc etc....

It's possible, not recomended. Especially if your not confident with the equipment. Now......I is going to go find me something else to shoot down in a ball of flames. Yavin rocks for picking on little fighters big_smile hate the damn turrets though, nothing more satisfying than blowing one of those.

Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

I also kill most things solo....

Tanks, ANYTHING if in a B-Wing (OP), Squads, Points, Objectives.

Space is boring.  Period.   Ya got 1-4 ships on each side giving very little choice.   Objectives are liniar, Fly to point A, Spend your bomber load, run into ship, repeat.   And incredibly boring maps like Death Star take for ever with those bloody towers taking 100+ torpedo hits.  I litteraly sat there on the surface of the Death Star (in a little cuby and floating up to shoot torpedos then back down) shooting it for 5-10 minutes before it blew up.....

Strike on Endor, make it a push on both ways with the first rebel point being uncapable.   If not that ATLEAST make it to where people have to enter the building in the Imp Base and not just lay on top of it in speeder bikes (do that with all instances of the building).  Have yet to see the Empire win that map....   Same for any space map with the B-Wing in it.

Ballance... only ones I knotice are...
Rebel Shotgun >>>>> Imp Shotgun
B-Wing >>>>> All

Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

The Taloraan and EFH maps are kind of borked right now because of the capital ship speed error. So wait on those; they might become more tenable once they release a hotfix.

Also, did you know that you can rearm your bomber by flying close to your transport vessel? If your fleet is actively engaged with the enemy and the transport is close, that can take little time at all.

And AGAIN, if you attack as a coordinated group, destroying a capital ship with a couple bombers making a concerted attack run, with fighter support, will have little problem wasting the vessel in no more than 2 or three passes, especially combined with judicious use of the ion cannons, and on top of any fire support the fleet is providing. First Strike isn't, and should never be, conducive to one man armies. If you go it alone, the team will always beat the individual.

And yeah, the B-wing is just a little too brutal because it's so dang hard to hit. perhaps a slower turning radius so that it's a little more vulnerable to the enemy and calls for more fighter support to keep it doing successful things.

Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

The bigger the Yavin map (16,32,64) the more torpedo hits the towers take. The idea being that you attack as a group, not just one at a time.

Space is fun, the only thing with it is you need a decent number of players to make it interesting.

Endor strike - Imperials have won it many times since I have been playing the mod. yeah, the speeder cap thing is poor, but there is something there to counteract the speeder if you look wink Just remember that it's pointless attacking a rebel point and bring everyone back to defend each point and you can easily hold them off. It's a tactical thing, making a strategic withdrawel to defend another encampment is what that map is about.

B-Wing - Dont attack it directly head on. It's heavily armoured and packs a lot of punch. Get it from behind, but not close enough to make yourself visible on their hud.

Re: Why I'm Uninstalling

we just won endor strike team yesterday by holding lower woods as last flag... just stay at the flag, put some homing beacons and kill/revive/reammo...

anyways, the tree-village-capturing bug still exists

And how on Earth did you accomplish this, with enemy turrets and TIEs about? If you were on a Local server, all by yourself, then Heck, of course it's boring. If you were on a populated server, you must've run into an exceptionally incompetent Imp team.

Strike on Endor, make it a push on both ways with the first rebel point being uncapable.   If not that ATLEAST make it to where people have to enter the building in the Imp Base and not just lay on top of it in speeder bikes (do that with all instances of the building).

We have. The Imp Outpost has at least two, perhaps three, turbo laser towers you can enter to gun the griefers down. And if you're concerned with people capping a CP before you can reach it, well, as was said, you need to know when to retreat.
