I was away to make my own thread on it, as no-one else already had, but I guess I took to long in writing my response, so here I'll just paste it here.

I think it all looks really good.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who had their hopes up that we would be driving AT-AT's in 1.3, but I'm glad that all the fixes are in.



Why were the Deployable UAV's made so they couldn't be replenished? I found the time they were deployed was too short, whenever I was a defending trooper, I usually had to go back to replace them 2-3 times per life.

Similar thing for medic grenades.  I have rarely ever seen an issue with spamming with them.  Is it not possible to make them just take ages to restock them, instead of just making them unable to be refiled?


And the Bestine hill flag, I thought that was the most fun flag to battle over.  How it was hard to capture it, but once you had, if your team worked together you could push the imps back all the way to their last CP.  The fact that once it's been taken, you can move ahead to the Imperial CP's even if it was only capped by one Loner will change that map, I belive.




As for all the officer updates, I love them.  More E-web ammo, and more sensor pings is really good news for those of us who play officer all the time.  Its going to make being an officer a much more awarding class to be as a squad leader.

I look forward to the new 32p Ryloth aswell.  It will be nice to see some ground combat for a change.




One or two questions though.  What exactly has been improved by the HWS droids? The Rebels one shoots more often/powerfully?  And has that Imperial Medic Droid bug been fixed? I'd like to be able to pick up that droid again.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Yeah, 1.3 is basically a maintenance patch that fixes some game issues. It's going to be an excellent upgrade, though. I especially like the tweaks to Ryloth 32 (finally locked tanks!).

Skimming through the list. Only thing I don't like so far is that the MKII/E-Web gets more ammo, as this may discourage Officers from requesting generators or Support players from placing them. I love that the UAV droid has been nerfed, though smile .

Also:

-All heavy land vehicles (and on some maps the ATSTs) have been locked to their teams permanently. No more vehicle stealing.

Which maps have had AT-ST's locked? And are they locked permanently or just while parked (I've always felt this'd be nice for Mos Espa)

The eweb etc only hase 20% more initial, it wont break the bank it just gives them more time til re inforcements come in.

Very nice work guys! I also tought patch 1.3 would bring Hoth, but the changelog is very impressive!
*edit-for security* Everything in the update looks cool, no more vehicle stealing, weapon fixes, sniper rifles get proper re-arming? Very cool, can't wait for BoH btw, gnna be kicka**!

While you may have felt it was a meaningful battle most all the rest of us felt that hill was a miserable meatgrinder which the imps had far too much advantage on.  The battle for it though is roughly the same as the imps can still overrun that flag point and rebels can't spawn there, however they can't retake the flag now meaning they will have to think about protecting the flag behind it more heavily. 

Currently the design of that hill meant the imps had it far easier than the rebels as they had the highground, a regular spawnpoint extremely close and well covered next to the flag, plenty of time to set up defences, and the ability to bring in heavy vehicles like the AT-ST to defend it.  While they still have most of that advantage they at least have to pull back slightly to protect the other flag up there.

I also forgot to include in the changelog that Bestine's overall tickets have also gone down to help the map go by a bit faster.

AT-STs are locked down on ice plains and ryloth.

And I think it's only the rebels that can't pick up the medic droid.  Imps should be able to pick it up no problem(?)
