COD5 im kinda unsure of. I honestly think they must be brain dead to go back to WWII. Its simply impossible to make a good WWII game any more as proven by the recent failure of Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway. That game was looking awesome but turned out to be mediocre.

Nah, stick to what the series is about, I say. WWII isn't an original theatre, but is 'let's do a game where the US fights terrorists because that's what's everyone else does these days' isn't exactly original either roll .

Games departing from their set course usually does not go well, and if you want to depart from the series' norm, you should name your new title the first of a new series, 'from the makers of [old and famous series]' rather than being dishonest. I mean, imagine if Hideo Kojima went slightly nuts and made a Metal Gear Solid sequel where instead of sneaking you went around mowing down your enemies with the arsenal of a full infantry platoon. Imagine if the Christians hijacked a pagan holiday and turned it upside down and made it a new form of Yahweh worship. Imagine if

For me spore was kind of like the sims the first week you play it seems like a fun game with a very broad scope, then suddenly overnight it becomes boring.

  CoD4 was perhaps the best shooter I have ever played, I'm not sure about CoD5 though I think the WW2 theme is a little over done though.

Theres nothing new that can be done with WW2, unless they told it from the German perspective.
