Re: Commmunity Game 15th November
Hehe, I was one of the stormies pinned down on that balcony. I had a torpedo launcher, a perfect view of Rebel infantry and vehicles advancing up the hill, and team mates who kept spawning from the spawn beacon on the roof. And we could do nothing but hide behind our shields and watch, taking potshots at the enemy the short moment they were within our line of fire as they passed our house. I had a nice view of the city and Gallofree crash site, and knew that the sniper shooting at us could be literally anywhere down there and that there was no chance of us finding him and taking him down. One single sniper had a whole squad of infantry nearly completely pinned down.
As for Taloraan, I had fun as usual but was again annoyed by people taking capital ships off the map. Looking forward to the day we get that fixed, if we ever do
.
I liked the increased 'countdown time' upon loading in, gave no-one a head start and gave us time to form squads.
Good stuff.
Rebel snipers have such an advantage on that map though
Now that you say so, yes they do. They've got camouflage uniforms, lots of places to hide, and a Freerunner with a long-range radar that points out targets to them. Imperials have fewer sniping spots, shining white uniforms which are easily spotted from a mile away, and have their cover blown whenever the APC Freerunner decides to join in on the fun. I still consider the map fairly well balanced, though.
