Re: SW: The Old Republic

bioware knows what they're doing.
the only thing that will stop me from playing could be the pricing

Eagle-eyed Hotshot Investigator

eh..

Re: SW: The Old Republic

It is bioware however...

It wont be like any sw game yet (except for a minuscule comparison it will receive to swg) from the looks of it seems that it will resemble CU to an extent but will be more story driven and have more options then any mmo present

Re: SW: The Old Republic

about the pricing: only the need for a Credit Card would put me off. I dont need credit, not yet anyway

Re: SW: The Old Republic

3.

Never liked MMO's. The whole concept is just boring.

Any combat-based game that decides the better player based on time spent playing and equipment rather than skill behind a keyboard and actual tactical knowledge, I don't play.

On the other hand, the only fun MMO I've ever played would have to be EVE (otherwise known as 'Microsoft Excel: Multiplayer'), and that's only because of the accessibility given to players with smaller ships (e.g. it's harder for larger ships to damage you, thus making you useful).

But no, I've played WoW, AoC, Galaxies, Runescape, AO, and just about every other game with a 'trial period' system, and each I've found to be dreadfully boring, and completely subscribing to the whole 'grind, level up, shop, grind, level up, shop' mechanic that I just can not stand.

Re: SW: The Old Republic

tbh I think ill just get the trial or invite account

Im already involved with Guild Wars and its the last mmo that will garner my full attention again...
Been put off by too many letdowns from other recent titles exs: Tabula Rasa, AOC etc, not to mention they have Guild Wars2 in the pipeline which will add more races FINALLY

oh and there's also this http://gwrap.ytmnd.com/ cool

For those who haven't seen them yet wink

Looks pretty good to me, there are still lot's of questions that need to be answered though. Like how they put all that into a working MMO with PvP, crafters, guilds and so on... Time will tell
