Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I liked the old cartoon CW too but all in honesty, this one puts it into shame.

!!!SPOILER WARNING SPOILER WARNING SPOILER WARNING!!!!

Ryloth trilogy is now over and damn it was a great one. Especially liked how they linked the Blurgg's (spelling?) from SWGB:CC to the scheme. And the way how the twi'lek general mentioned he doesnt want the clone army to stay because eventually they would end up fighting them. How ironically true?

Start of the last episode was amazing too, and the whole trilogy has been rock solid. Theres a lot more good's in this series than in the old series.

!!!SPOILER WARNING ENDS!!!

Old one had the God-like Jedi's which imho were so ridiculous you cant imagine. The introduction of Grievous was good, but overall the series was quite dull and a bit too "hyperactive" for me.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

The show has been pretty good. Needs more Grievous tho.

There's 2 main things that hurt it imo.

1, Episodes are largely the same : Jedi confronted with a problem - 10mins worth of dead droids later - jedi win.

2. Lacks an overall season story arc. We know the outcome to the clone wars etc etc, an overall story per season would have attracted my interest more.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Yeah, I guess they're trying to deal with that issue when they create mini arcs with the multiple episode storylines, but yeah a whole season arc would make things more interesting. Maybe they'll tackle that in season two?

I found this last episode of the Ryloth trilogy the weakest of the 3 to be honest, which is a shame. As good a it was they tried to cram too much in and this resulted in the eventual final victory being a little too quick and easy to come by. Could have used the extra breathing room of a 4th episode if you ask me. Still a cracking episode mind.

Next episode looks interesting...

Looks like Aura Sing is going to make an appearance.

cool

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

They've created an awesome character in the Bounty Hunter Cad Bane.

Let's hope they don't kill him off too fast.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I personally think Cad Bane is just pointless and useless character to the series. I think so after watching the season finale, but perhaps season two will make him better in my eyes. Personally I dont think he was needed. Instead, they should have had either Grievous (preferred imho) slay Jedi all around the galaxies, as it was hyped so damn much before ROTS came out...

Now Grievous is (while cool) not living up to the hype at all, and with Bane, it doesnt improve... Second option would have been young Boba Fett instead of Cad, but then again there would have been great chance to ruin the character totally, so I would have preferred Grievous.

I hope eventually we will see more Grievous duking it out like in the comics and novels, all that pre-ROTS hype shouldnt go to waste as he is one of my favorite characters from the Prequel Trilogy. Also, I hope to see more Rookies kind of episodes with more and more clonetrooper-only action, with their awesome phase II armor.

Overall this first season was great. I enjoyed it a lot and Im looking forward to season two. Rock on!
