Could we invite some Vanilla clans to play our mode for one day? (More if they like it) Maybe we could do an organised event thing just for them.

Let them get used to the weapons, maps and vehicles. We would be ingame, but not to involved in the fighting so they wouldn't get p***** off from dying too much. We could invite them on Ventrilo and give 'em tips while we watch them fight.

That's what we do in the PR team, we're constantly looking for new blood to get into the mod.  However, offering them special games to "get good" suggests that FS is filled only with badass players and no one can touch them.   That simply isn't true, and gives a bit of a bad impression of the mod (though it has been offered to a few clans that showed some interest in playing).

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Well, RT are mature gamers (ie the clan is an over 18 group) which means that most of us have other priorities such as work, family etc. Others have simply moved on to playing other games which offer more players.

I'll try and get a server going when I can, but these days thats not usually until later once the kids are in bed, or because I'm writing, working, checking something in FS gamecode, testing, mapping etc.

I'm from the clan -=BMH=- (meaning Battlefield's Most Hated). Used to play this mod a while ago. I remember that it used to be more populated then it is today. My clan is made up of about 25 individuals all about 25-14 years old. I know I can spark their interest in this mod and if need be supply a server ( we have about 3), did the same for the amazing Project Reality mod for BF2, so hopefully we will help you guys fill up those servers! smile

That would be great. But mind you: we need dedicated guys who will play OFTEN so that even more people will check this mod out. New players play for a couple of days, they see that not many people are on and then they leave forever sad

This mod needs a lot of support, but not temporary support. We need support that lasts.
