The Lambda or the Theta? That is my point, they did NOT use the Lambda, but instead used the Theta class on original trilogy maps that should have used the Lambda, lazy SWBF2 devs, shame on them.

Agreed. But Can we use the theta? Its cool, lore accurate, and easy to model.

Naw, I'm afraid that is a prequel asset, so off limits to First Strike really. We do use some EU assets when we're in search of a type of vehicle that doesn't appear in the movies, such as the T-1B and Firehawke tanks, but we try to draw the line at using prequel assets.

Besides, the Theta wouldn't really add anything to the mod as it is pretty much the exact same size and fills the same role as the Lambda. Plus Rebels have form for thieving Imperial assets (as seen in Return of the Jedi), so to have Rebels using the Lambda at the moment is fine, though as I said earlier, at some point we will look at creating a Rebel equivalent.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Very quick rendering of one idea.
'D' shaped array of engines with stuff hangin out each side.

Right side has a falconesque  single person cockpit. Left side might have an array of antannae or maybe a gunner seat, or maybe left blank to intentionally make this thing assymetrical and more ugly.

Pilot gets fixed starfighter blasters, concealed in the D body.
Gunner(s) get concealed (drop down ala 2142 trans) guns in the under carriage.

The idea is that its a civilian tranport designed to lift containers that the rebs have modified and use for insertions. Its got big honkin engines for the getaway and its concealed undercarriage guns are meant to fire parting shots at imperial pursuers or, in extremis be used for fire supression during a heated extraction.

I like it a lot so far. Though I think it is a bit to squarish. Right now it looks more like a flying box, even for a cargo hauler. Could you make it a bit more starship-y? Your choice.
