Re: Launcher Problem

hmm. ok.

first try simply stopping and starting the WMI service. open up a command prompt and type these commands

net stop winmgmt

net start winmgmt

If that does not solve the problem, try this (again in the command prompt)

REGSVR32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM\FASTPROX.DLL

REGSVR32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM\WBEMPROX.DLL

WINMGMT.EXE /CLEARADAP

WINMGMT.EXE /RESYNCPERF

Re: Launcher Problem

thanks for getting back to me again, i tried everything there and still no go, its really odd, i was able to run the old launcher a year or so ago but now a new install and new version dont seem to like me mad

Re: Launcher Problem

hmm. i'm running out of ideas..

i'm pretty sure this part of the diagnostic info is where your problem lies

.1554 21:05:07 (1) !! ERROR: WMI MONIKER CONNECTION errors occured for the following namespaces: .......................................... 1 ERROR(S)!
.1555 21:05:07 (0) ** - Root, 0x80041002 - (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND) Object cannot be found.

edit: I recompiled the launcher with the newest versions of the WMI and pywin32 modules. I'm doubtful it will provide a different result if the problem is actually with your computer's WMI configuration/installation, but try it out anyway.

LINK

Just unzip the content to your launcher folder and overwrite all files.

Re: Launcher Problem

I hope the above did the trick.

In case it didn't work, I once had a similar problem getting a different program to run in Win7.

It turned out that because  I had customized my display settings (just larger fonts or something) windows would not run the program any more.

Switching back to the default settings got it running again. Go figure neutral

Edit:  lol   Comparing this post with the one above,  I might have well have just typed something brilliant like, "Um, Did you check the Gigabytes?" tongue

Edit:  lol   Comparing this post with the one above,  I might have well have just typed something brilliant like, "Um, Did you check the Gigabytes?" tongue

LMAO I almost fell out of my chair.

Also, I'm downloading that zip file and will try it in a little while, having to deal with the rest of life is taxing.

EDIT: I unzipped the files to the folder and it still doesn't work. There must be something wrong with my computer itself. Although, I don't have problems with anything else.

Re: Launcher Problem

ok so no launcher for me, can i still run the mod without running the game and going into community>custom? i could have sworn there was a shortcut command for just that.
