Topic: Trash Compactor

Map Name: Death Star Trash Compactor
Planet:..errr.. death star?
Ground/Space: Ground type of battle in the Death Star.
Weather/Lighting: Dim, sweaty and dirty...

Map description: A squad of Rebels and Imperials get stuck in the Death Star Trash compactor, there is no way out. The walls are slowly coming in...

Gameplay Description: The main idea is, that this map would probably play best with 16 players, and it would have non-stop action in this small room. The walls will be slowly coming in, reducing the amount of space you have to battle. The round would end when the walls get so close the player’s can no longer move. Of course there will be piles of trash (just static giant meshes would be fine) for hiding behind and so fourth. Although it would defeat the purpose of a "trash compactor", it should be fine if the trash goes through the moving walls...

Extra notes: I hope this is even possible to code... and I can take criticism, so if you think this map is "horse hockey", let me know. smile

would be a bit too small to battle in don't you think, unless you made entrances outside the trash compactor that would lead to it and would let players go through different hallways and such.

a good thing to have in this map is the snake that takes hold of Luke and pulls him underneath, but this snake would have to be placed somewhere and be still until someone walks close to it or make it constantly moving underneath smile

also, you could have staircases or floors above that you can shoot down on

Lol proton thats what i was thinking. i am trying to imagine this map and i say that it just doesnt seem possible. I like the idea. Its a neat bonus race kind of map idea. But wouldnt walls that are constantly moving cause immense lag? I dunno i like the map idea though.

moving veichles and elevators and that don't cause lag (only some times if you got a crap comp like me)but i don't really see a problem here except the coding for an constant moving part and not like elevators but one thing i think could work is that it would be like an objective map so that on each side of the map there are two buttons one to stop the walls and one that makes your team to lose. So like the rebels must come to the imperial side and choose the right button and other way around i think that would work
