I think Aquila hinted at the possiblity of a SD interior. Think. Not know. But still, one can hope,
. I believe a compination would be great. I doubt it ever happened in Star Wars before, but imagine a correlian cruiser being boarded in a similar fashion to the tantive IV, but a squadron of xwings based off a planet bellow attempts to assist.
That could raise a really cool map idea. Yep, just popped in my head. Told you.
How about an objective based map. A correlian cruisers smuggling special rebel agents down onto a planet where a rebel cell desperately needs the expertiese, when the ship is boarded by an imperial Star destroyer. The rebels aboard have fought they're way out of the cruiser and into the imperial star destroyer's interior. They need desperately to reach the ship's escape pod bay and head down to the planet bellow. But in order to eject the destroyer's turrets covering the escape pod bay must be destroyed. The plan was conveyed to the rebel cell on the planet bellow just before the ship was boarded. The x wings must duke it out against the SD's ties, then destroy the turrets as their primary objective. Then the escape pod bay would be the boarding rebels objective. The map would require good cooperation between the interior rebs, and the xwings. Teamwork might even be taken a level higher, with several other systems the x wings can take out to aid the interior rebs, such as power conduits on the hull, which when destroyed might shut down anti infantry turrets inside, or if you guys get really clever with your coding, maybe even the lights in certain places. Wouldn't that be something?
(The x wing fighters themselves [maybe about 4] could be spawn points themselves [like in rise of kobol] so the players can spawn directly into their fighters in space, without any awkward platforms [GC]. The turrets could count for a large number of tickets [like the GC deathsstar] so when destroyed it severly eats into the imp's ticket count. The escape pod bay could be a flag, that might only be captureable after the turrets are down. That flag could count for hte rest of the tickets.)
