Topic: Vehicle Spawning
There are a couple things in battleifeld that have always bugged me. One of the big ones is the way vehicles spawn. They just appear. Kind of sucks you out of the realism factor of the game. So I was just wondering if theres any ideas on changing that. I mean, the 1.3 patch has introduced air dropped vehicles deployed by the commander. I was wondering if there might be a way of automating a similar system for just general vehicle spawning. I have a couple ideas on the matter, none of which are likely possible of course.
Couldn't you use a uav style vehicle, a drop ship, that could fly down on scripted courses and drop vehicles on spawn positions? Or how about instead of dropships, the equivelant for ground transports towing the vehicles down roads until they reach the drop point. Might actually be cool for a supply lines style game mode. Like if you have 3 bases on a road, and the one in the middle gets captured, the far base on the end wont be able to get vehicle shipments by road. I'm just throwing out ideas.
How about if none of thats possible, garage doors that close after the vehicle exits their interiors, then open when a new vehicle spawns inside them. Same would work for hangar bays.
I know its not really important, and would be a hassle to do anything about. I'm just probing to see if anyone had any ideas on the matter. So....do you?
