My only problem with your ideas is the length of the posts, not only can I not be bothered reading the above all the way thorugh, its using up my valuable Mapping/Researching/coding/moddeling/and everthing else time .

Don't get me wrong most of your ideas are gold (several things have ben discussed on the dev forums of similar nature to your numerous threads) but the size of the post generally leads to me skim reading them.

If my skim reading is correct this reminds me in GTA:SA where you could play arcade games and pool in bars. Not important but adds to the atmosphere in a very fun way.

I apologize, I never seem to be able to say anything at all, unless its over 3 paragraphs. Also rereading I hate the way I explained it. Simply stated (I'm going for it!) the idea is to use several moving objects in such a way as to create a small 'minigame'. Well that wasn't that bad...

Re: MiniGame

Arc Angel, I am afraid I must completely agree with General Unco.

The way to do it is simple, you dont need to not write long, just write in multiple paragraphs, at least one space between each.

Otherwise me and most others wont read it at all..... a huge mass of tiny white text on black background aint the most appealing thing....

Re: MiniGame

The mini-game idea sounds cool, but complicated. That example of yours does sound ludicrously hard and luck-based, if the gap only appears through their natural movement. The time it would take to solve the lock, some random enemy could have gotten right up to you and knifed you big_smile Although concerning the long paragraphs thing, I'm not entirely opposed to writing like that

That image would be my avatar, but the server says it's too big and I can't resize it <_<

Re: MiniGame

Starwars GC had a lucas arts arcade machine hidden in echo base but I never managed to get up to it. There could be a mini game in a hidden arcade machine like "TaunTaun Hunt." I really like the lock idea. Much better than mine, more complicated, but isnt that what makes things better?

Re: MiniGame

Arc You do write like... A whole lot... hard to read sometimes... but I use "Ctrl+mouse wheel" when  it strains my eyes. Your mini game sounds sorta cool. I would also love to see little droids, and civi pick up kits like canadiens said.... except the "Stalls" what does that mean? Phrases for the civi kits would be cool as well... "May the force be with you" "You are bantha fodder" Or whatever people say in starwars...

Re: MiniGame

An idea we toyed around with back in GC (Yes I hate having to keep refering to it) was that 1 player could control R2 (like we did with the consoles) R2 would then have to be escorted accross the map (he didnt have to be but youd be stupid if you didnt), Because R2 is the only one that can unlock doors, e.g. the endor bunker door.

So the team would try to get R2 to the bunker so he could unlock the door, for them to charge in and Fight. the imps would try to stop him.

Not exactly a mini game, but you reminded me of the idea. big_smile

Re: MiniGame

refresh my memory preacher, in r5.3 there was never an endor map. does this mean there is unreleased version of GC!!!!!!!

also mini games that have something to do with the map

say on a tatoonine map, you hop in a rancor vehicle and just mess around in jabba's palace
