So all the skeletons have to be the same height and build in the BF engine?  You can't have short or tall skeletons, then just model the fur like bulky clothing to make them look chubby? (I hope that made sense).

I take it that this is a limitation of the BF engine and not a limitation of 3d games, as BattleFront had the skinny trade federation robots and the ballish droideka robots on same team.

We could make playable ewoks but we'd have to create a whole new skeletan and redo every singe animation.

Also , i blieve your only allowed 1 skeletan in the map.

Oh no, you can do just about anything with the right game engine, however, the BF:2 engine is built in a manner that makes a lot of things very hard to do, like space maps and custom skeletons.  The BF:2142 engine was improved in that it allows custom skeletons, but only for PCOs (Player Controlled Objects) such as the battle walkers, and in our case it allows us to make convincing ATSTs and ATATs.

The custom skeletons don't apply to infantry models because the physics governing infantry, and the animation system are built so rigidly that we would basicly have to recode the engine to allow for shorter (ewok) or taller (wookie) player models.  And because we don't have access to the source code, that would be next to impossible.  However, we may have some work arounds to play with, but we will let you know the progress on this issues as it progresses smile

Shame its not one skelington per team. That could be a cool map.
But might it be possible to make the ewoks into vehicles like the GC droids? However, maybe they could function like infantry do? I think theres precedent for that somewhere. They could be each be their own spawn point (like the old rise of kobol first release), and each one in a little ewok hut. So a rebel player can spawn into one, or if theres no ewoks left he can run around as a normal reb.

Im not a fan of people jumping INTO droids. Would look too odd, imo.

One of my =RAV= members was the founder of that mod, Lex Luther.  He did some incredible stuff with the raptors and vipers in space before he left on another pursuit.  But the remaining team may be able to help you just as well (for space things) with Python.

already have space maps covered, plus theres arnt space maps. they removed the wings on the aircraft thats why theres no stall height.
