Sounds like a better alternative, because I was wondering -- If the map was actually designed underwater, wouldn't you pop to the surface if you exited your ship or underwater base?
Well I suppose the only way to counter that would be to have vehicles the player would need to be in to be in that behave like infantry, but can manuever up and down in the water. I guess you'd justify it by making the vehicle look like a scooba suit, or something like that.
A total underwater map can easily be faked, by using efects and a well designed skybox.
plus all vehicles (air vehicles) coded as if they were underwater. theres no need to ACTUALLy put it underwater lol.
Haha exactly!
I still want to do an Otoh Gunga map with the Imperials invading and killing all the gungans with Rebels trying to fight them off.
EDIT: And you guys completely ignored Preacher's post :D You're trying to cram a square peg through a round hole by thinking of an underwater map the way you are

Its possible. You just need a saw . And dude if you get that otah gunga map running, your officially on my Awsome Person List. Extra Credit if theres statues of Jar Jar there you can deface .
Well if I'm motivated to do some maps for FS once we're all settled into 2142 then I'd love to work with some people in the community to put something together for a specific server to run.
