Re: Commander Deployables

I still really hope to see a Death Star 2 map. The death star weapon might be an actually aimed weapon, but its range might be limited in such a way as that if the rebel ships stay back where the imperial star ships (like in the movie) they might be relitively safe.

Heres a fun thought. Remember how the SF devs wanted to do a 'campaign' system, where the results of one battle would effect the next? Well what if the battle on the ground of endor could determine whether or not the Death Star has a shield? If the rebs won on endor, and destroyed the shield projector, then the obrital map's objective would be for the rebels to destroy the deathstar. Maybe the shield could work like the titan shield, and if the rebs won the endor map, it could automatically deplete until its gone (which might take like 5 minutes) so the rebs have to wait like in the movie. If they failed down below, the shield won't deplete, and the map that starts could be an alterted map where the rebels objective is to escape to a safe hyperspace jump point (an invisible flag thingy?).
Just rambeling...

Ugh...damn I forgot that, but it could be cool if it's possible

Also, when the death star is an aimable weapon, it takes a LONG time to cool off and recharge.

Re: Commander Deployables

My main concerns are this: first off I do not like the idea of forces vehicle spawning, second as for the auto turrets, regardless whether you like the game or not, I belive that you could take a chapter from SWBF 2's book with space auto turrets, make them semi accurate, but not very powerful, third, perhaps an Endor/Second Deathstar map wold be possible as ONE level with a single Titan(Deathstar) and the bunker as the missle silo, and fourth, the idea for the beginning of this thread obviously came from Star Wars Empire At War (EAW).

Re: Commander Deployables

No way, that would be rediculous.  The death star would be hugging the planet.

Re: Commander Deployables

Not if its more like a shadow. I meant more like a ghost Titan, one that can't attack but can be damaged, for objective purposes.
