Re: Your thoughts on in-game advertisements

True, but most games for the consoles [aka the "next generation"] are 60$ (US), while the PC games remain at 50$.

Obviously the demand for money is there, and this is an alternative to the eventual (and unavoidable) increase in price. So instead of lowering the price, as you suggested, the price won't change.

It isnt a PC vs console argument tho. Its PC game with advertisements versus PC game without.

I believe it adds atmosphere to the game environment... I've never had a problme with IGA. Too bad they aren't like some of the ones in real life.... some of those are pretty classy...

How do you know who provides car insurance if you've never seen an advert? How do you even know what it is?

Talon has an excellent point, you need a small does of advertising otherwise you go to the car dealership and think what is the difference between an Aston Martin and a Hyudai...

Who provides it: Google search, phone directory, ask someone I know.
What it is: Learned that when I was little. No need for ads.
