6800gt full settings 2x aa, no probs with BF2142, except in the titan..but then again i think everyone has probs in the titan. So FS should be spot on!

Im sure you can.. i mean you set the settings outside of activating the mod, like BF1942/GC correct?

I have the 7800GT videocard (which is by now relatively old) and I can play both 2142 and FS on full settings with everything on max (FS looks amazing on it, btw), and I still have like 50 to 60 fps.
So if you want a net videocard, try finding one of those 'older' ones (7900GT, ati's 1900pro or XT, maybe even the 7600GT) and they won't be hugely expensive...

I got a dule CPU, and a GForce7800GTX, with 2gig DDR of ram, and 2 HD I can run BF2142 on full with the resolution at 1280/1024 with only slow downs when I'm in the middle of an arty strike. But thats not going to be a big issue in a StarWars mod. It's only the dust that makes my PC crap out, every thing else in the game runs super smooth and looks great!

BTW we all get some FPS drops, in Titan mode when the titans are only 200 feet apart, and everybody is poding back and forth with the guns on the Titans blazing. But thats mainly Server lag. Even on my Lan server I get no lag from a 32 player Titan game.
