Re: Gripes about the in-game video

Think about how fast a walker would go down in 2142 if it had 8 or so AT guys shooting at him.

(grumbles about being called a noob)

You try effectivley piloting that thing with Preacher screaming over TS about how incompetent you are...

Re: Gripes about the in-game video

The thing I like about the shields is that you'll have enemies visibly hiding behind them so you can plan your strategy at taking them out.  It's better than roaming the alleys and every time you turn the corner get 1 shotted because you didn't react fast enough.

It's something different and I think if they do it right, it'll work out fine. I think the reason we didn't really see shields in the classic triology was because Lucas didn't have the technology to do it right tongue

Re: Gripes about the in-game video

Well I wonder if there is emp-like/ion-like weaponry in the mod that can disable those shields. Would be an easy counter to a strong shielded defense. tongue

Re: Gripes about the in-game video

Sluggish you say. What seems sluggish will get your adrenalin pumping hard as you realize just how fast you are going. They seem slow and sluggish only because of the scale that you are looking at things. When you get in first-person mode in the cockpit things really change.

Good point! Duh I suppose that's something I should have thought about smile  I'm especially excited about the space combat, but the video of this was a little disappointing. Now I'm just as excited about it as I was pre-video. Thanks!
