I had got the message about the Patch 1.25 when I installed the MOD.

All I did was hit the retry and started right up.

I got my download from this site. If your download seems corrupted you might want to look somewhere else to get it.:

yea ive reinstalled 5-6 times now and just deleted everything all together and redownloaded it.  Still same bug, game crashes while loading maps..

I downloaded from the very first link, the battlefield2 files filefront one.  Oh well, normal game works fine but this mod hates my 2142.  Ill just wait till a proper fix releases.

Dunno if this'll help at all but try deleting all the files in the 2142 cache directory located
C:\Users\(yournameetc)\Documents\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\cache
Only a suggestion, dunno if itll work.It should re-optimize shaders etc.

I updated my post.  I said you should see first strike and mods, but I failed to mention bf2142. Thanks for the catch.  You probably only have 'bf2142' and 'mods' because you didn't start up 2142 and allow it to crash (this is the point where it creates the aditional folder named 'first strike' with your profile inside it).  Follow the steps again, if it doesn't work for you like the others, I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you other then,  Good luck and may the force be with you!  lol

Also found this post by Krull, it might fix the problem the rest of you are having. Give it a shot.
