Re: Some suggestion for improvement.

You could make the capitol ships invisible all together, making both sides scout the map, then, once another ship is within there radar bubble..then the other ships can see them.
That way there is none of the ships firing across the whole map, just cause the target is auto onscreen.

Do..or do not, there is no try !

Re: Some suggestion for improvement.

Lowing firing range is the most suitable solution. In space there is no fog except if we're in a nebula. So I don't see a point to not see a ship which is far away.

I think you misunderstand a little.
I dont mean not being able to visibly see the ship, i mean radar wise.
Your vision is not good enough to be able to see it to begin with, the only way you know where it is at is by the radar image on your screen.

Ah okay. Sorry for the misunderstood ^^. Why not.

The naked eye cant pinpoint something that far away. And be able to clearly see it.

In SW ep.4 , Han and everyone..never knew they were flying towards the deathstar, until it was too late to turn around.

Obviously they couldnt see it on radar, or see it with there eyes, until they got within real eyesight of it.

Do..or do not, there is no try !

Re: Some suggestion for improvement.

Something to note, we are limited to a 3km view distance, there is nothing we can do about it, its an integral part of the 2142 engine.

Re: Some suggestion for improvement.

on 3km view the cap ships (except the ISD) are very small either, but yet if you see them on the HUD some players start firing at their symbols on the HUD (u know, those you use to give an attack order) and thus sending masses of lasers out to the space, they will continue since they have unlimited ammo and no overheating bar...

so most suitable for me would be a overheat (but not too fast wink )
