Seconded! Battle of Bespin would be good and is lore accurate too.  Maybe its the darkside calling but i always wanted Luke to let rip with his X-Wing and pop those Cloudcars the Bespin security guys flew.  The map would be similar to Escape from Hoth in workings and total size i guess but with the City being a bit bigger then the ISD.  The whole City wouldnt be navigable due to size, just certain areas - they wouldnt neccesarily have to be interconnected areas either, you could make two or three totally seperate ground areas thus giving the fighter jocks something to do when the attacking side (Rebels would be lore accurate) have a foothold on the City.  Or maybe make it so they are connected through narrow easily defended chokepoints to give an airbourne assault on that sdection desirable too.

Sounds very much like dystopia in terms of pace......which ain't a bad thing.

I fear that objectives will make the game to linear.

I want some Imperial tanks rolling (or is that hovering) down some streets, only to be ambushed by a Rebel with a rocket launcher behind some boxes.

Essentially, Karkand meets Star Wars.

I doubt if you're in hiding on most planets you'd want a giant tank rolling around with Rebel insignia on it.

And if there were giant Rebel tanks rolling around on Rebel-sympathetic worlds, the Imperials would just crack down on em.

I see the Rebels as more likely to shoot proton torp launchers and run like hell.

Some players coming from BF2142 and i think it is necessary to take advantage of this and make a map that it includes the start feature of BF2142, the Titan mode.

A good map to FS, built in Star Wars on titan mode :

Ground map with star ship (static), one per team, cover by shield to destroy if is possible.

Modeled interior and open port to assault/defend and destroy/protect.

Can be Corellian Corvette and Lancer Frigate, for example.

For this map we need an assault armour vehicles, air assault and APC vehicles, per team, equivalent to those of BF2142 for open combat.

Can be  T3-B Heavy Attack Tank and AT-AT, for example.

Heavy attack  vehicles can be on strategic flags to use to shot down the star ship shield for replace the silos of BF2142.
