Re: Commander Deployables

I remember back when I was a kid... We'd run up to dad, and say, "We're bored, what can we do?"

And he'd reply,

grapple hookers or something

That or he'd make us clean out the garage. tongue

Today's spelling/grammar tip: There = a (sometimes conceptual) place. "There is my car." or "There is such a thing as magic."  // Their = posessive. "Their meat is full of worms." // They're = contraction of <they are>. "They're crazy!" // "They're trying to put their shoes up there."

Re: Commander Deployables

the domes ARE shield generators, SWTC is outdated (altough a interesting source)

http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/0/04/ISD_egvv.jpg

this is taken from the wookieepedia, which imo, is the MOST accurate data on SW

on a second note, i was looking on the Executor-class dreadnought (the SSD) and the domes ON the Super Star Destroyer are BOTH sensor AND shield generators, the ones above the bridge werent the only domes on the ship

Not according to George Lucas they aren't.

No, it's from a SW technical book.

which imo, is the LEAST accurate data on SW

Indeed. Those idiots deleted the First Strike article, too. Said it wasn't notable like those one-sentence long articles on random stormies shown for one or two seconds in the movies.

for the atat you shold make them possible to board, o you could like kill the crew members and take it for yourself, that would be cool, or some kindof capital ship boarding, thats what i miss outta the mod that vanilla has, boarding parties

How can you board an at-at?

Indeed. I never though about it until i played FS... why was a pilot carrying both a magnetic grappling hook and a proton grenade?
Pilots have strict weight limits on what they can carry iirc, and are usually limited to a pistol (thus DL44)

Re: Commander Deployables

The grappling hook was most likely part of some cache of survival gear in the speeder, after all he does have to rummage a little in the cockpit of his downed speeder before he makes a quick exit as the walker's leg comes crashing down. The proton grenade doesn't really fit in with survival gears role, but I guess they could also carry extra kit onboard to improve pilot survivability in a combat situation.

Re: Commander Deployables

I'm pretty sure that the grenade Luke chucked into the AT-AT was a thermal detonator, or at least some kind of frag grenade that's standard for soldiers.

Re: Commander Deployables

Whatever it was I doubt it could have made the at-at's head explode.
